QUEEN’S PARK – Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak today issued the following statement on the 18th Anniversary of Slovak Constitution Day.

“As the grandson of Slovak immigrants, I am pleased to join Ontario’s Slovak community in celebrating the anniversary of the adoption of the Slovak Republic’s Constitution.

“Many Ontario families’ like mine are of Slovak descent and it is important to recognize the significant achievement of establishing a free, democratic and independent Slovak Republic.

“This historic day of celebration provides all Slovaks a chance to reflect on our rich cultural heritage, our strong lasting democratic form of government and our preservation of minority rights.

“As Ontario PC Leader, I extend my warmest wishes to Ontario’s Slovak community as we celebrate this historic occasion with our family and friends.”
